Did you know that we can thank the Black Death for the fact that we wave at people? Back then, before millions of people were wiped out by the plague, people used to kiss one another on the mouth in greeting. Perfect strangers used to just kiss as a hello. That takes a lot of the magic out of a first kiss it seems....
Seriously now, wouldn't that be just plain awkward?
And this was before Mentos or Listerene Strips. They had snuff and false teeth instead.
I really can't think of anything more revolting or awkward. Well, okay, I can, but this is definitely up there on the list.
